Frequently Asked Questions

What can I do with my Nigerian Dwarf Goat?

Their milk is exceptionally high in butterfat, making it an excellent choice for making goat cheese, creams, or other goat milk products such as soaps and lotions! We love our NDG’s as pets too. Goat yoga, goat snuggles, goat playtime… the list goes on!

Are Rocky Bottom NDG’s purebred?

Absolutely. Our breeding herd is registered with the American Goat Society so you can be guaranteed your future kid is a pure-bred Nigerian Dwarf Goat.

What is a Nigerian Dwarf Goat?

The Nigerian Dwarf is an American breed of smaller goat that derived from the West African Dwarf group of breeds of West Africa. Males reach a height between 19-23.5 inches while females reach a height between 17-22.5 inches. These goats are used for dairy production and are also often popular for shows.  Their smaller size make them easy to have on a smaller homestead as they require less space.
